Dance to Jigfoot with Ray Goodswen and Mike Courthold presented by Bridport Folk Festival

Jigfoot, a talented and melodic five-piece band from Hampshire, will be playing for the main ceilidh on Saturday night, with experienced festival callers Mike Courthold and Ray Goodswen. As with most dance events, this will be in St Mary's (Church House) Hall in South Street. ​ In addition, they will be offering the music for a mini concert in St Mary's Church, and for two workshops back in the hall: on Saturday social stepping with Jo and Simon Harmer and, on Sunday, Modern English Country Dance with Ray Goodswen.

It's what used to be called 'country dancing' or 'barn dance' but nowadays tends have better, more varied music (often 'folk') and is danced with more energy and skill.
